Hilton Garden Inn, Indinapolis, IN – Airport
Entering the property
Outside: Hotel is well kept on the outside.
Once you enter: The lobby is clean and fresh, with lots of natural light coming in
Staff response: Was greeted when I approached the desk, was surprised though the staff didn’t recognize this is my second time here. Usually hotels do mention “Welcome back”
Living area: The room was freezing A/C was set at LOW temp. But it was very clean, carpet and bedding looked very fresh.
Desk: Comfortable and plenty of outlets to connect all business traveler gadgets.
Bed: This second time I check in, I got a very FIRM bed, tried to adjust the setting (Hilton Garden advertise about their beds self adjustment) but to no avail, and hotel was booked so couldn’t change rooms.
TV: New LCD
Internet speed: I say about same as other places…i.e. average speed good for browsing the web, nothing too heavy.
Lighting: Very good lighting in the room
Clean .. Clean … Clean …
Clean breakfast area, staff was responsive when we sat down, coffee is good, nice selection at bar area, I ordered a waffle, not sure the Cook knows how to make a good one. Something was wrong with the mix, first one was BAD, second was ok, but still not crispy on the inside.
Exercise & Pool Area:
A nice exercise room, 2 elliptical, bike, exercise machine, no free weights though. The pool isn’t made for laps but nice size and area was clean. Hot tub was good.
Staff in General:
Very Friendly staff, when they see you around in the property does ask about your day and make you feel welcomed.
I would recommend this hotel again, even-though not much around from restaurant stand point, but if you had a car you are not too far from downtown area (10-15 min) and you do not have to pay downtown prices and to park your car. I know when you are on business expense company pays, but if you do not get extra bang for your buck, why pay it to another location that would charge you more $$ per stay and pay parking downtown! I say ridiculous. Indy provides plenty of parking when you are down for business or at night. Unless you are planning to getting “drunk” then no need to stay downtown hotel.
